After several small drinks night's out in the local hostelries, which have been very well attended, the thought of a major "do" to comiserate those unfortunates who are rapidly approaching their 50th Birthdays seems like a good idea.
Several ex-colleagues have offered their services with regard to venues and the such and I am currently looking into this. For those of you who have not recieved an email or a letter from me, please would you let me know your thoughts on this suggestion. I'm looking for dates when people cannot attend so we can make sure everyone has ample opportunity to get the date in their diaries. I'm also looking for peoples preferences, do you want a buffet, or a sit-down meal - or none at all? Do you want background music or dancing music, do you want a cabaret act to entertain us or not (volunteers please for anyone game for a laugh) So, this will be your night, help to make it one to remember.
I would appreciate any-one offering assisitance in contacting old friends and helping to make sure this one is as successful as the last one - or even more so - if we can.
