Newsletter No. 4 - (2/9/01)
Welcome to the latest in our newsletters regarding our proposed re-union. On these pages, we intend to keep you up to date on the chase for fellow pupils of our year. Who we have found, who we can't find etc etc. The newsletter will be updated every week on Sunday. Plans are now underway for booking the venue for the re-union. After consulting several people who have already held successful events, the proposed date is Saturday 4th May 2002. If this date is OUT OF THE QUESTION for any of our ex-pupils, will you please inform me at your earliest convenience. This day has been selected because of the difficulty some people may have in travelling from afar. Overnight accommodation will be available for those who require it.
Unfortunately, the attendance will probably be restricted to 1971 pupils only, rather than partners. This is to avoid the situation where partners would feel left out of the proceedings (having no-one to talk to). However, should the absence of ones partner make attendance an impossibility, exceptions to this rule will be allowed. It is anticipated the cost of the evening will be in the region of £10 to £15 per person including a buffet. Mr Gillingham has kindly offered to give all people who are interested a guided tour of the school, as many ex-pupils will not have seen the building developments since 1971. I can assure all of you the school has changed beyond all recognition. (The new classrooms have carpets!!) Please contact me if you wish your name to be put forward for the tour..If you wish to discuss any of these arrangements with me, please e-mail me and I will get back to you.

We will be contacting the school to invite the teachers from our era, should they still be around. Some of the staff members named below are sadly, no longer with us. The list of teachers is as follows;-
