Hi again everybody. If you are regular readers of this newsletter you may have noticed the lack
of recent updates. Well, the reason is I have been in hospital since the 16th January where I
underwent a kidney transplant. I have been suffering from acute kidney failure since 1998
and my quality of life should improve no end as a result. There is a long way to go yet but
we are optimistic. Now onto the plans for the website. You may have read in the earlier
newsletter that I planned to change the web-site URL into something more akin to
montgomeryschool.co.uk.. Well those plans have bben scuppered by a conversation I
had with Mr Gillingham at the school. It appears that the school want me to assist in the
development of the official school web-site and incorporate our site into the official web-site
making one huge site. It is an exciting opportunity that I have accepted with relish so
watch This Space. The plans for the reunion bash are well under way but some of the
replies to my invitations have still not been returned. It is fast getting to the stage where the
whole event may suffer if we do not get the number of acceptances up to the required
minimum level stipulated by the Sheraton Hotel. We have agreed to pay almost £1000 for
80-90 people. If the quantities do not reach that target, the money that was intended to be
placed behind the bar for free refreshments will be lost, thereby making everyone suffer. So
please, if you do intend to come, or even if you don't, do not leave it to the last minute and get your replies in as
soon as possible. We only have just over 12 weeks to D-day. Thanks for your attention
