Newsletter No. 15- (24/02/02)

This week a new page has been added to the web-site to make it easier to find the new additions. By following the links from the home page to "Latest Additions", the past weeks additions can be viewed from an index page. Every week, this will be updated on a Sunday. Thereforee any additions or alterations to the web-site will only be made on the Sunday.<>br> An open invitation has been made by Steve Shaw, who will be coming over to the UK sometime in April. He has asked if anyone would be interested in a round of golf, either during the week or at weekends. I suggested that it may be possible, with enough support to hold a mini-handicap touney, to be played at a convenient time. This could be open to all ex-pupils of the school, irrespective of their age. A small prize could ber made available for the winners. Any suggestions will be more than welcome. Anyone wishing to take Steve up on his offer can e-mail either me or Steve at dtambler@hotmail.com or srshawsa@yahoo.co.uk

More pupils from our year have been uncovered by some sterling detective work from various members of our year group. Rowena Thomas has finally been tracked down as has Linda Emsley and Karen Jones. information on these pupils can be found on the Latest Additions page. Ex-pupil from the year above us, Bob hush has registered also.

On the reunion front, keep a lookout in the local press for another update on our reunion plans. Libby Gomm intends to put a piece in her column about the plans to regroup the Norbreck School Football team for another photo shoot. The headmaster of Norbreck School, Mr Fisher has kindly consented to allow the photo to be taken in the same location as the original in 1966. Many thanks go to Mick Forshaw for his massive help in organising this venture.(he must take most of the credit for this).
It is good to see the money for the reunion coming in at last. It's now only ten weeks to the do, so keep it coming everybody. I will be organising the tour around the school in the next week or two, so anyone who has not put their name down should contact me as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

As you may be able to tell by the address of this web-site, the site is one of the free ones provided when you use a particular internet service provider, in thisa case IC24. They give you on average about 10mb of free web-space. Due to the number of photographs now located over the site, this is now reaching the maximum allowable space. I will continue to use the site as long as I can add stuff to it. However, the time is fast approaching when we will need to move to another site. I will keep you posted on that score as and when developments occur.

That's about it for this week. I will update you all again either via e-mail or on next weeks newsletter .
Bye for now,
Dave
